Respek.

Respek. It’s a word that many people don’t use anymore. In fact, if you look up the word “Respek” in the dictionary, you’ll find that it’s been taken out. These of course, are words of my main man, Ali G. Ali G teaches respect in almost every episode of his hit show on HBO. Respect is something that Ali G feels is quite important. He believes you should respect everyone, no matter their race or gender. At the end of each interview, he usually give bones to his boys and says “Respect”. (Bones, in case you aren’t aware, is a “fist bump”, not to be confused with “fist pump” which is an obnoxious dance that obnoxious people do in clubs where obnoxious people hang out). So where was I? Oh yeah, Ali G. Ali G is a great show. My favorite episode is the first one, where Ali learns how to be a cop, Borat learns manners and how to date, and Bruno learns who is in and who is out. Oh, right, respect. I think respect rules. If you don’t have respect for something or someone, you won’t get very much props (street talk for respect).So, give props to your boys, props to yo gurls, and props to your homies. Also give props to your elders, they have been here a lot longer than you and are probably a lot smarter than you.
