Each thanksgiving, we must ask ourselves, what are we thankful for this year? This year when I am asked, I will say I am thankful for just about everything. I am thankful for all of my family and friends. I really think of thanksgiving as less of a holiday, and more of a time to spend time with my family. My friends are also very important to me because without them, life would kinda suck. I. I am also thankful that I have been given the gift of life. I think that thanksgiving should be a time where we look less upon material possessions, and be thankful of all the little things. Take time to walk through the nature trail to see how beautiful all the trees are. Thanksgiving is should also be a time that we help out the less fortunate. Give as much as you can to food drives, not just around thanksgiving, but all year round. Some people cannot afford the price of food for their family, and that’s not right, especially on thanksgiving. People should focus less on what they don’t have, and be thankful for everything they do have. There’s no sense getting upset over things you don’t have, because usually, the only person who feels bad for you, is yourself. I really realize that when my family is over, I appreciate them a lot more (except for a few of them, that are rich, snobby, and a few other words I’d say but in school my free speech is limited). So this thanksgiving, I will be sure to be thankful for all of my family, friends and being able to live each day. So remember to think less about things you want, and focus on what you have and be happy that it’s yours.
